Brave and Encouraging But Another Defeat

Wycombe bravely held out for over an hour against Sheffield United but eventually went down to a 3-0 defeat at Bramall Lane. Though at least two of their goals could go down as being slighty fortunate with deflections not helping the Blues.

From the commentary, it sounded like the more defensive formation was doing its job but when the barrier was breached, the home side went on to a comfortable victory. Stuart Beavon was his usual lively self up front and Matt Bloomfield again worked hard attacking from midfield.

Not much time to dwell on this defeat as we go again for perhaps a more important game, at home to Yeovil on Tuesday night. Kick off at Adams Park is 7.45pm
