Stay And Support The Team

(One member’s rant!)
Why oh why were our fans leaving on 85 minutes tonight?

We had just got back in the game at 2-3 and were pushing for an equaliser, yet some still feel the need to leave rather than encourage their team onto the end when we could have ‘snatched a draw from the jaws of defeat’.

It’s not like we have a 60,000 crowd leaving the Emirates Stadium with only one train line for them all. We had 3,529 fans and all who stayed were soon on the move after the game! The team could do with all possible support when pushing for what might have been a vital point and anything could happen in those last 5 minutes plus the 5 added on! It’s not like the game was done with a clear result either way!

As for the game itself, we were perhaps lucky to go in 1-0 up at half time thanks to Stuart Beavon’s clean strike from a Matty Whichelow pass. However more abject defending and a vital midfield error in losing the ball when going forward led to Yeovil scoring 3 times in 15 mins before substitute Joel Grant pulled one back soon after coming on.

But it was not to be! We go again at Walsall on Saturday – another game we really need to win!
