Fans Put in Sunday Shift to Improve Their Ground

IMAG0326About a dozen fans turned up at Adams Park this morning for the latest session of voluntary work on the ground.

Split into 4 separate groups they once again ‘put in a full shift’ by continuing to tidy the steep banks around the car park and clear overgrowth from behind the Dreams and Greene King Stands.

IMAG0325Another group picked up their paint brushes to start work on improving the look inside the stadium. The staircases from the concourse to the Main Stand are showing signs of age with flaking paintwork and the yellow safety marked areas are badly faded.

IMAG0328These take quite a lot of manual work to clean down before painting  can commence so only the centre staircase was completed this week. The pictures (left) show how it looked at the start and at the end!

IMAG0327Hence there will be another working party organised for Sunday 17th November (weather permitting) when volunteers can either choose gardening work or painting.

If you can help on this date or at any other time, then please contact Club Director John Derben on 01494 441145 or email [email protected] or Trust Director Alan Cecil on 07776 381626 or email [email protected] As always a free lunch will be provided.
