Football Governance (Supporters Participation) Bill – No further progress!

parliamentRegular readers here will know that we have been monitoring the progress of this (and similar) bills through Parliament in the last couple of years. Progress of any Private Members Bill is difficult and many do not get given any time for debate.

However there was some progress on the Football Governance (Supporters’ Participation) Bill 2015-16 on Friday 4th March in that it did get a Second Reading and a brief debate.

The MP sponsoring this Bill did nominate Friday 13 May 2016 for the Second Reading debate on the Bill to resume. However the House did not sit on this date and this Bill will make no further progress.
