Fans Council To Debate EFL (Checkatrade) Trophy

Many of our fans have had strong views on the changes made to the EFL Trophy competition.

Given that the future of this competition is now under consideration, the Trust and Club are asking the Fans Council to act as a forum for opinion which will be fed back to both boards.

So this Thursday 27th April at 7.30pm in Monty’s Bar there is a chance for all fans to come along and have their say on the matter.

The Checkatrade trophy did give WWFC a chance to give game time to some players who were not getting a regular start in the first team and of course provided some much needed prize money. That unbudgeted income has helped boost the club’s finances in terms of ‘football fortune’ and, along with the 500 Club money, meant that players did not have to be sold to ‘balance the books’.

Do come along on Thursday.
