WW Trust Supports Safe Standing
There was due to be a second reading of the Safe Standing Bill on Friday 25th Nov in the Commons. The Trust had written to Wycombe MP Steve Baker indicating their support for the bill and encouraging him to vote in favour.
However as the Bill was number 32 in the schedule of Bills to be heard on that day, it is extremely unlikely that it will have been debated.
Don Foster MP for Bath, introduced the Safe Standing Bill to the Commons on the 7th December 2010. The Bill seeks to give all football clubs the freedom to build, or maintain existing, safe standing sections in their stadia if they choose and to establish minimum safety criteria that must be met for standing sections in football stadia and for connected purposes.

Steve Baker has indicated that he is sympathetic to the issues that Don Foster raises in his Bill and is writing to the Minister in support.
However Aylesbury MP David Lidington has received a response from the Minister for Sport which you can read here Response from DCMS
