Welcome to the Wycombe Wanderers Trust

  • The Trust has been formed from the merger of Wycombe Wanderers Supporters Trust and the Wycombe Wanderers Founders Trust to represent the views of supporters and to protect the long term interests of our club.
  • Keith Ryan

Meet your Trust Board

Of our Board members, two also sit on the WWFC Main Board. They are:

Don Woodward
Don is 47 and has been a fan for over 10 years. He is a regular attender with his family who are all growing up fans. Impressed by the style and ground football that has been consistent, Don felt this was a great example for his boys.

An FA qualified coach Don works with several local clubs in junior football , that’s just an excuse to keep kicking a ball. Barred by his parents from following a playing career in football Don qualified as an Accountant and now works in Mentoring and business development having held top level Commercial Industry roles .

Don had to love football – growing up as one of 4 boys and when opening his bedroom curtains in his family home all he could see were twin towers. Attending school in Wembley Don watched his brothers team captained by Glyn Creaser ! They even had the same kit as WWFC.

Now with the Trust Board Don will help the development in this new era and bring his sporting and business backgrounds together for the benefit of the club and supporters.

Please forgive him for being Scottish and don’t ask him to play in goal – presumably for the same reasons.

and

David Roberton
I was born in Wycombe, went to school in Wycombe and have been a “Blues” supporter for as long as I can remember. I even played a few games at Loakes Park. An early memory of being a “Blues” fan was the FA Amateur Cup Semi Final in 1957 when the “Blues” beat Corinthian Casuals at Highbury (unfortunately my dad would not take me to Wembley for the final because I would not have been able to see over peoples heads in the old standing section).

My reason for joining the Trust was to help try and ensure that my team survive and continue to play at a high level of football and do not go the way of Ilford, Leytonstone, Wealdstone and others whose assets were somehow lost and their football heritage and place in the community consigned to the history books.

I am very proud of my Club and want to ensure that my grandchildren can wear the blue quarters with pride whilst supporting their professional team in the safe, enjoyable and friendly environment that we had at both Loakes Park and now Adams Park.

The other Trust Board members are:

Trevor Stroud (Chairman)
Trevor has been a Wycombe Wanderers supporter for over 20 years, and Chairman of WWT since 2010. He was originally a board member with Wycombe Wanderers Founders Trust, before the formation of the current Trust.
Trevor’s area of specialism is Sales & Marketing, and  has held a number of senior positions in both Blue Chip and smaller organisations. He is currently Director of Sales at Cranberry, a specialist producer of Nuts and Dried Fruit.
In terms of his Wycombe memories, there are many outstanding moments, including the visit to Villa Park in 2001, and Jermaine Easter’s goal against Chelsea in the Carling Cup Semi Final, but thinks that Dave Carroll’s goal in the 1994 play off final at Wembley, wins as his best Wycombe moment.
In terms of the Trust, he is determined to ensure that the links between the fans and the Club are as strong as possible, to the benefit of both sides, whilst ensuring that the best interests of WWFC are protected at all times.

Garry Heath (Vice Chairman)
Garry’s family has been in the High Wycombe area since before the Civil War. From a furniture manufacturing family, chairboy Garry was previously a Bucks County Councillor for the central ward in Wycombe.

He volunteered to join the trust to offer his help and experience of not for profit organisations and served as part of the merger team which united both trusts.

Apart from being a keen Wanderers supporter he is also an unashamed petrol head with a great enthusiasm for motor racing.

Keith Blagborough (Secretary)
Keith’s background is in finance and mainly information technology providing business solutions and managing computer service departments in Construction and Manufacturing industries, latterly retiring as a senior manager at the BBC.

A life long football fanatic he has supported Wycombe Wanderers since moving into the area in the 1980′s. He and his wife attend home, away, reserve and youth team matches.

Keith was one of the four founder members of the Official Wycombe Wanderers Supporters Association and served on their committee for many years, as both secretary and treasurer. He is still an active member of the Association Committee.

He was one of the two founder members of the Supporters Trust and worked to gain its acceptance by the Football Club. Since the merger with the Founders Trust he is a Director on the Board of the merged Trust and is the General Secretary.

For four years Keith was elected by supporters via the Supporters Trust to represent them on the Football Club Board and served as the Supporters Director.

Conscious of the wider obligations of the Trust he is the prime contact with Supporters Direct. He was invited to, and duly made a submission to the Parliamentary Committee examining the State of Football Governance in England. (The paper is reproduced on the web site)

For any problems please contact Keith on 01494 563697 or by email on kblagbrough@talk21.com.

Reg Rundle (Treasurer) Born: August 1932 Day job: Retired Certified Accountant.
Supported Wycombe Wanderers since approximately 1966 but really became a regular once the Club moved to Adams Park. Reg became a season ticket holder in season 1991/92 and a member of Wycombe Wanderers Football Club Limited in 1995.

He is a holder of a Founders Share in WWFC plc and was one of the original signatures in the formation of the Wycombe Wanderers Supporters Trust and was the Trust’s Treasurer until the merger with the Founders Trust.

Other interests include golf and working in the community. Reg is also treasurer to two local charities and has been a school governor since 1993 at Cressex Community School.

David Cook
I first started supporting Wycombe Wanderers in season 88-89 when they twice defeated Newport County, the team that I had supported whilst growing up in South Wales in the late 50’s and early 60’s.

When the opportunity to serve on the Trust Board as a co-opted director in mid 2010 was offered, I was very happy to become involved in what I saw and still see as a crucial phase in WWFC’s future. My duties, to date, whilst not restricted to a single role, have, in the main, been in respect of Trust communications.
Now retired, I can reflect on 29 years of employment with a major international healthcare company where I gained considerable management experience and skills development in the areas of planning, negotiating and project management in an international procurement marketplace.

Alan Cecil
I started supporting the Chairboys in 1993 and have hardly missed a home game since. I also get to many away games each season.

I started in the Family Stand before my wife and I moved upstairs to the Frank Adams once the boys grew up! All our 3 sons have been involved with the club in a supporting and/or working role.

I aim to represent all fans and bring to the Trust Board balanced opinions and views plus a good understanding of financial matters, all based on experiences in life, work and as a WWFC loyal and passionate supporter.  Please feel free to contact me at alancecil@gorsewalk.freeserve.co.uk or in the Vere Suite before any home game!

 Biography to follow

Colin Treacher
I have been a supporter for 40 years and attend all home and the majority of away matches with my wife, Karen. We are season ticket holders in the Frank Adams Stand, Founder Share holders and Ordinary (now non-voting) Share holders.

It is important to me that Wycombe Wanderers continues to flourish and I see the Trust as having a significant role in ensuring this happens. I am keen to use my business knowledge and experience to add value to the Trust, both in arriving at the correct conclusions on the key issues (e.g. the new stadium proposals) and in working with the club on an operational level.

I can usually be found in the bars before home matches and you can email me at colin@wycombewandererstrust.com

Matt Clarke
Matt Clarke started supporting Wycombe Wanderers in the late 1970′s. Growing up, football was a big part of his life, both supporting and playing before retiring due to a serious knee injury at 19.

He and his Dad followed Wycombe all over the country and in recent years has introduced his son, Jack to the fold.

He was an integral part of the “No To Booker” campaign and stood for election to the Trust Board in 2012. His main aim is to show the benefits of membership to the younger supporters and serve all supporters to the best of his ability.
