Return of the Comanche

ComancheThe ‘Comanche’ is back in town!

As part of the exhibition to celebrate 125 years of Wycombe Wanderers, now open at the Wycombe Museum, the Club has been kindly lent this special wooden figure of a native American. It was originally purchased as a lucky omen having been spotted in a shop on the way to Lincoln – a game Wanderers had to win in 2000 to stay in what was then Division Two.

‘Comanche’ became our lucky mascot for the next few years and was placed on the centre spot before each match.

Do go along to the Wycombe Museum to see the exhibition – something there for all ages. More details are in our article further down this page.
