The growing membership is an indicator of a healthy organisation and is very pleasing. Great Scott! Chairboy Legend Keith Joins Up
Keith Scott is Wycombe Wanderers Trust’s latest big signing.
As popular as he was successful during his two stints at the club, Scotty was recruited to the Trust by Director, Dave McGee. But the big striker didn’t take much persuading by to sign up.
Keith said: "I'm delighted. During both my spells at the club I had a great connection with the Wanderers fans and it feels natural to renew my association with them through joining the Trust. It's important that the supporters continue to have their voice heard and the Trust provides a means to do that. I am really looking forward to meeting the other members and getting involved." Trust and plc Director Dave McGee said:
"Keith was fantastically popular as a striker over his two spells here. In more than 200 games, he was always totally committed to the cause. We are absolutely chuffed that he has now committed to the Trust and that we have him as a member alongside hundreds of those who supported him from the stands and the terraces at Adams Park." Scotty scored nearly a hundred goals in his 208 Wanderers games and was a vital part of the team that got promotion to the football league and won the FA Trophy twice. He went on to play a role in the promotion winning season of 93/94. But he was sold to Swindon during that season for a then club record £375,000. He returned under John Gregory in 1997 and was sold again, for £250,000 to Reading in 1999. Keith is now manager at Windsor & Eton.
