Wycombe Wanderers Trust - Life Membership

Members, who were previously Life Members of the Supporters Trust are now Life Members of the new Wycombe Wanderers Trust. But other Members who can upgrade to life membership.

The Trust currently has a membership of over 400. Of these, fully 98 people are Life Members. It would be fantastic if the number of Life Members could grow to 100 or more.

Life Membership offers several advantages to the Trust. In the past, Life Members were instrumental in ensuring that the Trust was able to purchase its holding of 100,000 Ordinary Shares in WWFC PLC. Looking forward, the administration of collecting annual subscriptions is reduced to zero – important for an organisation run by volunteers. Many members have been kind enough to complete standing orders for their annual subscription and Life Membership takes this help a stage further. The Trust is ensured a baseline membership every year from which to draw a board and to obtain a democratic mandate on any issue requiring a vote. The existence of Life Members also reduces the likelihood that the Trust can ever be taken over by any group with only minimal support.

For individual fans, whilst Life Membership is not a cheap option, it does cap the total paid for membership. There is also comfort for Life Members in knowing that they are strengthening the democracy of the Trust by providing its baseline membership as it seeks to protect the heritage of the Football Club.

The cost of Life Membership will vary for individuals, since any subscriptions already paid will be subtracted from the £400 fee. If you are not currently a Life Member and would like to know more then please e-mail us at secretary@wwst.org, we will then let you know the amount you would need to pay.

Thank you to all the Trust’s existing Life Members. Your contribution to the Trust is very much appreciated.
